Could the poem feasibly mention goblins?

Goblins are great. While still maintaining the mythical theme of the original poem- which is an extraordinary piece of work thus far, please don't misunderstand me- I think that bringing goblins in could add a much needed sense of darkness tonally. Let me know what you think.
