Description

Plugin author says "I suspect that the Social Menu implements a custom walker." However, Wen Corporate theme author says "Theme is using WordPress default wp_nav_menu function and not the custom walker for displaying menu."

Research direction

Start by reproducing the issue with a Menu placed in the Social Menu of the Wen Corporate theme. Compare the theme's use of WordPress's default wp_nav_menu function with the suspected custom walker. Done means menu icons work correctly in that Social Menu context, with the behavior verified against the reported setup.
