Getting pathParameters while printing in event in lambda but this object is not transforming in req object

I am using vendia/serverless-express to forward my API gateway request to express. From API Gateway I am passing path parameter and same path parameter value I can see in event in handler but after forwarding to express in req object getting params as empty object(params: {}). Logically this shouldn't be empty instead should have same value what we have pass from api gateway in paths.
