Navigation Arrows Colors Hard to See

It seems that there is a bug with built in navigation and the light/dark mode settings in iOS. At the start of navigation it is correct, white arrows for dark mode or black for light mode. But then part of the way through navigation the arrows flip and become black for dark mode or white on light mode making it especially difficult to see the arrows while driving.
