Description

Hi All,

I am trying out pacemaker in a k8s+Kubevirt environment.
Previously, I configured STONITH using fence_kubevirt in an OCP-V environment.
In an OCP-V environment, fence_kubevirt can be configured using the steps in the following RHEL solution information.

However, the same steps cannot be used with k8s+Kubevirt.

Can fence_kubevirt be used in environments other than OCP-V?
I have looked into this myself, but I could not find any information on using fence_kubevirt in a pacemaker cluster of k8s+Kubevirt VMs.

Best Regards,
Hideo Yamauchi.

Research direction

Start by reviewing the fence_kubevirt agent and the linked Red Hat solution, then compare their assumptions with a Kubernetes plus KubeVirt environment. Document whether fence_kubevirt supports non-OCP-V deployments and, if it does, provide the required pacemaker configuration; otherwise record the limitation clearly.
