Dashboard routing / new window

It came up in the external accessibility evaluation audit, but I am confused, too:

Opening a view (e.g. https://clock.uni-frankfurt.de/shifts) in a new tab or window results in a throwback onto the dashboard. Is this technically necessary or intended behaviour?

Router issues are always tricky, but this will likely be in the a11y report ("unexpected change of context"), although it is more of a functional thing.
