Description

Is your feature request related to a problem?

The current sector list is limited and doesn't reflect the needs of existing initiatives and collaboratives in CDL:

  • Climate Health Initiative does not have a sector to tag their usecases and datasets to (No Climate-Health or Publioc Health Sector)
  • Language data collaborative does not have a clear sector that it can tag resources and usecases to (currently the team is selecting "Urban Development").
Describe the solution you'd like
  • The sector list cannot be limited to CDL Initiatives, It should at least align with national standards such as National Industrial Classification by MOSPI.
  • Alternatively, users could have the option of suggesting a sector, and we add it based on internal approval.
Describe alternatives you've considered

Research direction

The issue does not name files, tests, or an entry point. Start by locating the UI/UX sector-list implementation and reviewing how sectors are currently selected and stored. Done means the sector coverage reflects the agreed standard or provides an approved suggestion path for missing sectors.
