Black screen after trying to execute game in ChimeraOS 41/42 with GE 53. Persistent after reboot.

After the last ChimeraOS update, and when trying to execute Elden Ring with the GE 53 compatiibility layer (options which are still not paresistent, and change after every reboot), I got a black screen after the anti cheat splash. After rebooting the system through ssh, the splash of "Verifying installation" got stuck there. I can login through ssh, and can see multiple wine and proton processes running in the background, but not sure what exactly is going on (maybe just trying to recover the last game executed? cannot tell...)

Just tried swapping to ChimeraOS 42 with frzr-deploy, and while it booted just fine at first, I got exactly the same problem again.

Any suggestions? I can still login through ssh after boot, just the GUI is kind of dead.
