Desktop mode OSK crash

Hi, I encountered following issue which is persisting for me since 46-2 on my Lenovo Legion Go.

When in Desktop mode and invoking a file explorer, browsing the internal nvme SSD, for example to the steam/steamapps folders to rename a savefile.
When pressing on a desired file to rename and invoke the OSK, when trying to type a period into the filename for example rename the savefile
from "savefile.sav" to "savefile.sav.old", the OSK closes the moment one presses the "." key and the explorer closes too.
Even when deleting the existing file extension with the backspace key and trying to input the a new extension, the OSK and file explorer closes instantely.

I was able to reproduce this behavior consistently on 46-2 and now 47.
Sytem language is set to german, OSK keyboard is set to german, tried it with US keyboard layout too, same behavior.

Is there a way, I can provide anymore information regarding this issue? Is it a security feature?
