Description

LÖVE is a framework used to make 2D games in Lua. It has official implementations for Linux as well as MacOS and Windows.

I thought to suggest this since it'd be nice to be able to add LÖVE games to GamerOS like one can add older game ROMs via Steam Buddy and play them with Retroarch. Speaking of Retroarch, it has its own LÖVE implementation called Lutro.

https://docs.libretro.com/library/lutro/

Here's an example of a game available on itch.io that has a .love file: https://tangramgames.itch.io/duckmarines

EDIT: I came across this website describing Lua game distribution (including a web-based player) that may be of use if this were to be implemented:

Research direction

No files, tests, or entry points are named. Start by reviewing the LÖVE framework and Lutro links, then examine how GamerOS currently adds ROMs through Steam Buddy and Retroarch. Done would mean defining and implementing a supported way to add and play .love games.
