Description

An extension of #3587. Zoom limits are not respected on a custom geocoder. I am using the following example code, provided from a post in the google forum

OpenStreetMapNominatimGeocoder.prototype.geocode = function (input) {
var endpoint = 'http://nominatim.openstreetmap.org/search?';
var query = 'format=json&q=' + input;
var requestString = endpoint + query;
return Cesium.loadJson(requestString)
.then(function (results) {
var bboxDegrees;
return results.map(function (resultObject) {
bboxDegrees = resultObject.boundingbox;
return {
displayName: resultObject.display_name,
destination: Cesium.Rectangle.fromDegrees(
bboxDegrees[2],
bboxDegrees[0],
bboxDegrees[3],
bboxDegrees[1]
)
};
});
});
};

and this zooms in past the defined max zoom

Research direction

Start by reviewing issue #3587 and the custom geocoder example, then reproduce the search flow with a configured maximum zoom. Trace how the returned Cesium.Rectangle is passed to the viewer and identify where zoom limits are lost; done means custom geocoder results respect the configured maximum zoom.
