persistence of 'cards' in the 'slider/folder'

Would it be difficult to store the items in the 'slider/ folder' in session or something, and then reloaded then into the folder again on a page refresh? This way users could carry its contents as they move across the site.

If we did go down this route, we would need to add the capacity to remove cards from the folder, which at the moment is not possible
