Settings frequently reset on Android

**Describe the bug**
After closing and reopening the app, the settings are reset. This happens whether I close cleanly by pressing back then Exit, or by swiping it away. This happens most of the time, but not always.

**To Reproduce**
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
1. Open app
2. Modify settings
3. Close app
4. Open app
5. View settings to see whether they've reset

**Expected behavior**
Not reset settings. What's the point of changing anything in there?
