### Bug description
If I connect to a fast wifi (> 1GB) and open the wifi settings or just click the networks tab in the system tray, when connected to that wifi, the whole screen starts flickering and goes nuts. I strongly think there is a connection between the wifi and the screen problem. Does this make any sense?
### Steps to reproduce
1. connect to >1GB wifi
2. do anything which uses the wifi interface
3. see the screen go crazy
### Expected behavior
Keep the screen normal
### Actual behavior
Screen goes crazy
