Description
### Kernel
7.1.6-1
### Desktop Environment / Window Manager
KDE Plasma
### CPU
AMD Ryzen 7 6800H with Radeon Graphics
### GPU / Driver
AMD Radeon 680M (Rembrandt). NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Mobile (GA107M)
### Description
Since updating to linux-cachyos 7.1.6, disconnecting a USB-C dock with an external monitor causes a reproducible hard freeze.
Steps to reproduce:
Boot linux-cachyos 7.1.6.
Connect external monitor through USB-C dock.
Disconnect the dock.
While continuously moving the mouse, the system operates normally.
As soon as mouse movement stops and the system becomes idle, the entire machine hard freezes.
Additional information:
Hybrid AMD iGPU + NVIDIA dGPU.
Wayland / Hyprland.
linux-cachyos-lts works correctly.
Regression started immediately after updating from linux-cachyos 7.1.4 to 7.1.6. NVIDIA, Mesa, and KScreen/KWin were also updated during the same transaction.
### Steps to Reproduce
1. Connect external screen.
2. Disconnect screen
3. Freeze
### Expected Behavior
System continues operating normally after monitor hot-unplug.
### Actual Behavior
Complete hard lock requiring a power cycle.

Research direction
Reproduce the freeze on linux-cachyos 7.1.6 with the AMD/NVIDIA hybrid laptop, USB-C dock, and Wayland/Hyprland, then compare behavior with 7.1.4 and linux-cachyos-lts. Start with the linked paste and output.txt, and review the NVIDIA, Mesa, and KScreen/KWin updates noted in the report. Done means monitor hot-unplug no longer causes a hard freeze and the regression is verified.
