Description

### Kernel

7.2.0-rc3-1-cachyos-rc

### Desktop Environment / Window Manager

KDE Plasma

### CPU

AMD Ryzen AI 7 450

### GPU / Driver

AMD Radeon 860M Graphics (Integrated)

### Description

My built in speakers and microphone don’t seem to be recognized on a 2026 LG Gram 15Z95U-H.AU87U1 laptop, which has a Ryzen AI 7 450 processor. I see “No output or input devices found” and when I look into details I only see Dummy Output. The built in 3.5mm audio jack also does not work.

Bluetooth and HDMI audio work just fine. Plugging in an external speaker/mic via USB-C works normally. I don't think this is the pipewire-libcamera issue since wireplummer is starting fine without a segfault.

I imagine this may be a similar bug to [the one described here for the HP Omen computer](https://github.com/CachyOS/linux-cachyos/issues/705#issuecomment-4998191320). The system does not seem to recognize a PCM device for the internal speakers/mic. I am guessing an audio quirk needs to be added for my board (15Z95U) to enable the system to see and use the onboard audio.

I tried using the LTS, main, and RC (7.2) kernel versions since I saw that new AMD audio support had been integrated into the 7.2 kernel, but it did not make a difference.

### Steps to Reproduce

1. Install CachyOS on an LG Gram 15Z95U-H.AU87U1 laptop.
2. Run all updates.
3. Internal speakers and microphone array are not visible or functional from within the operating system.

### Expected Behavior

I expect my onboard integrated audio to be available from within CachyOS. All is visible and working from within Windows 11 (this is a dual boot system).

### Actual Behavior

The internal speakers and microphone are not registered by the Linux audio system in CachyOS and are not able to be used.

Research direction

Start by reviewing the linked log and comparing the symptoms with the referenced HP Omen issue and its proposed audio quirk. Check the reported behavior across the LTS, main, and 7.2 RC kernels. Done means the LG Gram’s internal speakers, microphone array, and 3.5mm jack are registered and usable while Bluetooth, HDMI, and USB-C audio continue to work.
