Description

### Kernel

6.19.3-2-cachyos

### Desktop Environment / Window Manager

KDE Plasma

### CPU

AMD Ryzen 5 8600G w/ Radeon 760M Graphics

### GPU / Driver

NVidia Geforce RTX 3070 Ti / 590.48.01

### Description

Selecting between two output sources on my graphics card causes a different output to be selected instead. So instead of staying on GA104 it switches to USB Audio S/Pdif and it **does not** switch to a different output, its always USB S/Pdif

### Steps to Reproduce

I have 4 sound output devices and one of them has two outputs (HDMI and HDMI 2) which I select to either pick HDMI (which is my gaming monitor sound output) or HDMI 2 which is my wireless HDMI connection to my TV which I use to watch my media collection

1. GA104 High Definition Audio Controller digital stereo
2. Corsair Void Elite wireless gaming analog Stereo
3. USB Audio S/Pdif

The GA104 has two connections - HDMI and HDMI 2

1. HDMI - Is actually my display to my 32" 144Hz gaming monitor
2. HDMI 2 - Wireless HDMI dongle to my 60" 60Hz TV

The bug

When I select between HDMI (GA104) and HDMI 2 (GA104) the selector automatically jumps to USB Audio S/PDIF Output so I have to go back to GA104 High Definition Audio Controller and the different HDMI will then work.

UPDATE: It has on occasion jumped to another sound output (Void Elite for example) so not directly linked to S/PDIF

### Expected Behavior

When I toggle between HDMI and HDMI 2 I expect the audio to switch between the two outputs without auto-going on USB Audio.

### Actual Behavior

When I select between HDMI (GA104) and HDMI 2 (GA104) the selector automatically jumps to USB Audio S/PDIF Output so I have to go back to GA104 High Definition Audio Controller and the different HDMI will then work. Its an annoyance rather than a serious bug.

### Additional Context

I believe it could be a KDE / Plasma issue but I am unsure. Thank you for your work.

EDIT: I swapped over from a 3070ti to a AMD 9070 XT and it still happens. I mention this because the sound device has changed from GA104 to NAVI 48. I am convinced this is not a Cachy bug but a KDE issue, but thanks if you can check this I will report it in the correct place if it is not a Cachy issue.

Research direction

Start by reviewing the linked CachyOS log and reproducing the issue in KDE Plasma with the HDMI and HDMI 2 outputs described. Compare the behavior on the GA104 and NAVI 48 devices; done means switching between those outputs keeps the selected audio controller instead of moving to USB Audio S/PDIF or another device.
