Programs cannot be located after update

Hello, just ran an update through cachy-update on my task bar today. After the update finished, I rebooted my computer and was met with a few apps I had previously open opening, but refusing to open any others entirely, including the console. I was given a message by the plasma workspace saying "Unit app-xxxx@xxxxx.service not found"

So far I've been able to get partial functionality back by loading a previous snapshot, but many apps are still missing and firefox is refusing to load thanks to a missing or inaccessible profile.

Start by comparing the two linked bug reports from before and after the update, then examine the cachy-update path and the Plasma "Unit app-xxxx@xxxxx.service not found" failure. Reproduce the post-update state if possible, including missing applications and Firefox's inaccessible profile. Done means the cause is identified and application launching and the affected profile are verified after an update.
