realtek-alc287 fix needed

i'm not sure if this is the right place for this, I think it is, but I have been having issues with this sound card in my Lenovo Legion Pro 7i 10th gen (2025) since I installed Cachy. Basically only the front speakers function properly, producing a tinny sound with no mids or lows. The rear ones/subwoofer do not fire at all.

I have tried many fixes including ones listed here: https://github.com/thiagotei/linux-realtek-alc287/blob/main/lenovo-legion/README.md and here https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Lenovo_Yoga_Slim_9_(Intel)#Audio (which is for a different model but the same sound card) among many other nonspecific troubleshooting attempts over the many hours I have attempted to fix this issue. This is a bug report, but I suppose it is also a feature request in that I'm requesting that this issue be fixed as it this is not the only model of laptop that has this card and I know for a fact I'm not the only one suffering from this problem.

I might be wrong but it's possible that the fix is simple, in that you just adapt or update the fix I linked earlier so that it works on newer models. I really hope you consider fixing this bug or issue or whatever it is because this is the only problem I am having on Cachy which has otherwise been a flawless experience on my very new hardware and I massively appreciate everything that you do. I can provide examples of anything that you need, logs, reports etc.

Start by checking whether the CachyOS distribution repository owns a fix for the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i audio issue, then compare the linked Realtek ALC287 README and Arch Wiki guidance. Request the logs and reports offered by the reporter before defining the change; done should mean the rear speakers and subwoofer work correctly on the affected hardware.
