Two forms of nitrate: NO3 (nitrate) and NO3-N (nitrate-nitrogen) are different by a large factor.

In the ontology as I see it in HydroDesktop, there are only these nitrate variables in the keyword dropdown:
Nitrogen, Nitrate (NO3)
and
Nitrate Nitrogen

Which of these represents NO3-N, and which represents NO3?
If NO3-N, it should be called quotNitrate as Nquot
NO3 should be called quotNitrate.quot

It seems daunting and unsustainable to try to track all kinds of chemistry in the ontology. Can it be simplified with more general categories? Is this a current conversation?

Another example: only Specific conductivity is in the ontology. Conductivity it is not in ontology but could be a variable that needs to be recorded.
