The variable and site selector on the Simple Filter sometimes selects data series outside of the selected parameters (e.g., simple filters for quotUSU-LBR-Paradise-Little Bear River at McMurdy Hollow near Paradise, Utahquot and quotUSU6-Turbidityquot
also selects data series at Little Bear River Paradise Weather Station and data series with variables that include 6 such as 62, 63, 64, etc).

Start by locating the Simple Filter entry point and reproduce the variable and site selector cases described in the issue. Check that selecting a site and variable excludes similarly named sites and variables, including variable values such as 62, 63, and 64 when 6 is selected. Done means the results contain only data series matching both selected parameters.
