Description
jirikadlec2[CodePlex]
Using HydroDesktop 1.6 recommended release.
In the search tab, click quotSelect Data Sourcequot and choose quotlocal data sourcequot
Add the local data source (for example:
http://lahti4.hydrodata.org/services/cuahsi_1_1.asmx) and download metadata. close the window run search.
The sites from the local data source are not found, because HydroDesktop somehow re-sets the data source back to quotHIS Centralquot after I add a local data source and close the data sources window.
Only after I click quotSelect data sourcequot for the second time and I choose quotlocal data sourcequot again, the sites from my local data source show up correctly in my search results.
Expected behavior:
When user adds a new local data source, HydroDesktop should change the data source search option from HISCentral to Local Data Source.

Research direction
Start in HydroDesktop's Search tab by reproducing the local data source workflow described: add the example service, download metadata, close the window, and run a search. Trace the Select Data Source state after the window closes. Done means selecting a local data source persists automatically and the first search finds its sites without reopening the selector.
