Avoid hardcoded parameter IDs

Description
As suggested by @jgrivault, a lookup table/dictionary could be introduced to avoid having to deal with the paramter ID numbers instead of physical variables. Possibly, as @iljamal pointed out, the variable lookup tool from DestinE could be employed for this.
