Any registered member has to login to access all the services in the platform

**Describe the solution you'd like**
The member has to provide his/her username and password to get into the platform.

**Describe alternatives you've considered**
Instead of username, the member can provide his/her email.

The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. Start by locating the existing member or account flow and its service access checks; done means a registered member can authenticate with a username and password, with email identified as an accepted alternative if the project supports it.
