[FEATURE] ES6 Compatibility.

I have been frustrated on several occasions trying to implement ES6.

**Describe the solution you'd like**
Ensuring that ES6 works fine in our code base will be a plus going into the future.

**Describe alternatives you've considered**
We could however stick to the classic way of doing things in the meantime.
