Make 'auto' the default for existing_network_spacing

Maybe also rename this parameter..

Also, update docs to tell the story where growth from existing net is the default, and from scratch is the "specialist" option.
Motivation: In paper it was natural to start from scratch, but for urban planning applications, especially from european perspective, we care more about extending the existing network
