MediaItemChanged not firing. How to?

Hi, I'm trying to use the MediaItemChanged event but it never fire.
I init the engine inside AppDelegate.DidFinishLaunching and bind the event handler in main ViewController.ViewDidLoad
So I load local mp3 files in a button click. But the event handler never fire. Where I go wrong, or is a know bug?
I'm working on a Xamarin.Mac App,
