Zooming limited by imageview dimensions

Apologies if this is a easy solvable issue. When I zoom in, I want the entire imageview to expand. Instead, the standard behaviour is that the bounds of the imageview "crop" the zoomed picture. Is there any way to get around that? The point of zooming in my app is to see closer while still seeing enough.
