Description

As the AI ecosystem continues to evolve rapidly, we are actively working to integrate Bicep support into AI-assisted development tools. Given Bicep’s relatively recent emergence and the often private nature of deployment code, current base models (e.g., GPT, Claude) have limited contextual understanding of Bicep.

To address this, our team is focused on enriching model context and improving Bicep integration across various AI tools. Below are areas where we’ve already introduced support:

AI Tools with Enhanced Bicep Context as of today:

- [VSCode Bicep extension with built-in IntelliSense](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-resource-manager/bicep/install)
- [GitHub Copilot “Agent” mode in VSCode via @azure server](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/developer/github-copilot-azure/get-started#enable-agent-mode)
- [GitHub Copilot “Ask” mode using the @azure extension in VSCode](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-resource-manager/bicep/install)
- [Azure portal Copilot](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/copilot/overview)

We are committed to continuous improvement and would greatly value your feedback to help us prioritize and refine our AI support. Please comment directly on this thread or complete [this short survey](https://forms.office.com/r/ZdyVFhhNFs) to share your experience.

Helpful feedback details include:
- Specific tool and mode used (e.g., VSCode Copilot Agent with GPT-3.5)
- Type of Bicep project or deployment scenario
- Observations on accuracy, helpfulness, and any limitations

Thank you for helping us shape the future of Bicep AI support!
