Description
New API Review meeting has been requested.
**Service Name**: Azure Batch - Batch
**Review Created By**: Bill Boris
**Review Date**: 10/15/2024 01:00 PM PT
**Release Plan**: [1471](https://web.powerapps.com/apps/821ab569-ae60-420d-8264-d7b5d5ef734c?release-plan-id=8df27c91-bd81-ef11-ac21-6045bd019375)
**PR**: https://github.com/Azure/azure-rest-api-specs/pull/26381
**Hero Scenarios Link**: Not Provided
**Core Concepts Doc Link**: Not Provided
**Description**: Azure Batch (existing service) is building a v2 of its entire service offering, with similar but not quite same concepts and functionality.
It is currently proposed that this reuses the same top level 'account' and Resource Provider, but splits under that (so there will be new RP entities and a whole new data plane endpoint).
We are looking for a design / architectural review meeting regarding:
- Sign off on the high level plan (where the split should be made).
- How to namespace, review and release data plane specs, SDKs and CLI tooling
We've had an informational meeting and been recommended to followup with this group.

Research direction
Start with the API Review details in this issue, the linked release plan, and referenced PR 26381; no source file or test is identified. Review the proposed Azure Batch v2 resource-provider split and data-plane endpoint, then confirm whether the requested architectural sign-off and namespace/release decisions are still needed, since the linked PR is closed.
