Description
One of the things I struggle with in the quickstart templates are those "Deploy to Azure" buttons with the fixed URL links. You clone the repo and make changes, but now you have to change the link to test that it still deploys with that button and then it has to changed back before merging or setting up a PR.
I made a sort of solution to this and posted it on my blog:
https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/mihansen/2017/12/13/resolving-branch-specific-azure-template-links-in-github-repositories/
Would it be worthwhile to have such a URL transformer running somewhere as a central service for the quickstart templates?

Research direction
The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. Start by reviewing the linked blog proposal and the current fixed Deploy to Azure links in the quickstart templates. Done would require an agreed approach for a central URL transformer that supports forks and branches.
