Description

Dear Team,
I have one question relating to Dsc node reports for linux virtual machines.
Scenario: I have two virtual machines created on Azure Portal. And I want to install Nodejs using automation account and DSC.
Problem: When I take a look into dsc node reports for the nodes, there is no initial state listed like windows. The list always contains reports with consistency compliant state. Could you guys please explain to me why such situation happens?

Research direction

No repository file, test, or entry point is named. Start by reviewing the DSC node-report behavior described for Linux and Windows, using the configuration and screenshots in the issue. Done means establishing whether the missing initial state is expected or reproducible as a defect, then documenting the explanation or the required change.
