Description

I have a project that runs fine from within VSCode, but when the same project is opened in Visual Studio for Mac, it fails to run and logs the above error

Azure Functions Core Tools (2.1.725 Commit hash: 68f448fe6a60e1cade88c2004bf6491af7e5f1df)
Function Runtime Version: 2.0.12134.0

Sdk.Function is 1.0.23, Azure.Webjobs.* is 3.0.0

Research direction

No source files or tests are named. Start by comparing the VSCode and Visual Studio for Mac launch environments and the reported Azure Functions Core Tools, runtime, and Azure WebJobs package versions; done means the same project runs in Visual Studio for Mac without the ExecutionContext type-load error.
