azure-cli-telemetry depends on abandoned applicationinsights package

The `azure-cli-telemetry` package depends on `applicationinsights`, which has been abandoned and archived for over a year:

Is there a plan to replace the `applicationinsights` library with something else? As a packager in Fedora Linux, I am concerned about maintaining the `applicationinsights` package when it is not receive bugfixes or security updates.
