Error in running command az ad app delete : The subscription '<Tenant_ID>' could not be found

Running this command on tenant where no subscription is there, throws following error
> az login --use-device-code --allow-no-subscriptions

> az ad sp delete --id
The subscription '' could not be found.

Tried with object it too but getting same error.
