Description

3-wvd-management-ux

Hello,

VM instances located in VM scale sets do not seem to appear in the WVD management GUI.
The VM Scale Set instances and regular VMs are both deployed from a marketplace windows 10 multi-session image and are both joined to the domain and host pool using the same scripts. However only the regular VMs are being shown in the management GUI when looking at the host pool. Both the regular VMs and VM Scale set instances are shown when querying the hostpool through Powershell and both have no issues hosting user sessions.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the host pool in the WVD management GUI with both regular VMs and VM Scale Set instances, then compare the results with the PowerShell host pool query described in the report. Done means identifying why the scale set instances are omitted and confirming that they appear in the management GUI.
