Deprecation notice for the App Service Migration Assistant GUI -> use PS scripts as an alternative option

The App Service Migration Assistant tool remains available as-is but is no longer under development, and no further releases will be made available for new features nor bug or security fixes. You may still post Issues here as a way to help other users or if workarounds exist. The tool will stop working on or before November 2026.

If you are interested in an alternative to the App Service Migration Assistant, please consider using the migration [PowerShell Scripts](https://github.com/Azure/App-Service-Migration-Assistant/wiki/PowerShell-Scripts), which performs whole-server discovery and assessment including similar configuration-based checks and which remains an active project. There are also alternatives for more in-depth code assessment, such as [Analyze applications with the .NET CLI ](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/azure/migration/appcat/dotnet-cli).
