Description
The NVIDIA CUDA driver (550 branch) installed by default on AKS NVIDIA GPU-enabled node pools has reached EOL. The production driver version (570 branch) is now available and **recommended by AKS** for upgrade on your Linux NVIDIA GPU-enabled node pools.
**AKS Information**
AKS has released a node image update including the 570 CUDA driver version, to install by default on NVIDIA GPU nodes.
* **Ubuntu**: Upgrade to the latest [Ubuntu node image version](https://learn.microsoft.com/azure/aks/node-image-upgrade?source=recommendations#upgrade-a-specific-node-pool), estimated to roll out to all global Azure regions by 8/28/2025.
* **Azure Linux**: Upgrade to the latest [Azure Linux node image version](https://learn.microsoft.com/azure/aks/node-image-upgrade?source=recommendations#upgrade-a-specific-node-pool), available in all global Azure regions.
**Note**: The latest AKS Ubuntu node image version `20250806`, is deployed in August 2025 and contains the CUDA driver update by default. Customers can monitor the status of this deployment by using the [AKS Release Tracker](https://releases.aks.azure.com/).
