### Description

The behavior is rather unexpected and hard to describe. The powermenu and search sstay disconnected even though I set it to Frame mode. It also suffers from an update delay of some sort where the components stay disconnected on first trigger, but stay connected from second.

Reproduce the issue by opening the powermenu and search in Frame mode, checking both the first and second triggers. Start by reading shell.qml and the settings.json Frame mode configuration; done means those components remain connected on the first trigger without update delays.
