Code freeze lane doesn't support semantic versioning

Simplenote apps use semantic versioning, but our tooling doesn't. We have to update the code freeze, beta and hotfix versioning tooling to allow the release manager to input the required version rather than trying to evaluate it.

Inspect the code freeze, beta, and hotfix versioning tooling and trace how the release manager currently supplies or is evaluated against a version. Done means all three lanes accept the required semantic version as release-manager input instead of evaluating it automatically.
