Offline changes from desktop were overwritten on next sync

#### Steps to reproduce
Is it possible that this is the same bug as the patched bug in simplenote-electron here? https://github.com/Automattic/simplenote-electron/issues/602

I tried several times, but I was not able to reproduce the issue I had (described below).

#### What I expected
I made edits offline on my Mac OS X, then when I synced by going online, I expected those edits to persist.

#### What happened instead
I added many pages to a note on my offline Mac OS X while on a plane ride from Rome to NYC, from approximately Feb 13 10PM - Feb 14 2AM CEST (GMT+1). As part of this edit, I also changed the title of the note.

Then, in case this is relevant, when I landed, I edited a different note on my Android in NYC, from approximately Feb 13 9PM - 10PM EST (GMT-5) [i.e., Feb 14 3AM - 4AM CEST (GMT+1)]. While editing this other note, I may have opened up the original note I edited on my Mac OS X, but I think it's unlikely that I did.

Then, today at approximately Feb 14 11AM EST, I went online with my Mac OS X. While going online, the time zone on my Mac OS X adjusted from CEST (GMT+1) to EST (GMT-5). At this time, I did not check Simplenote, but it was open at the time (and I had not closed it since making the edits on the plane). Then, today at approximately Feb 14 12:30PM EST, I went online with my Mac OS X again and checked Simplenote (which still had not been closed since my edits on the plane), and the original note that I edited was reverted to a different version, without any record of my edits in the revision history.
