Description
Hello,
First of all. Great app. Great experience. Props to all you developers.
I would like the ability to toggle checkboxes directly from the Simplenote widget on the Android home screen.
Currently, when we tap on the checkbox in the widget, it opens the Simplenote app and then we have to tap on the checkbox once again inside the app. This reduces the widget's utility.
It should be such that once I tap on the checkbox in the widget, it should take that as the input and work without needing the app to open.
It would really help improve the app's overall user experience. Kindly consider this request. Thanks 😊

Research direction
Start by locating the Android home-screen widget code that handles checkbox taps and the path that currently opens the Simplenote app. Done means tapping a checkbox in the widget applies the change directly without requiring a second tap inside the app.
