New notes do not have keyboard on screen

From my Pixel 4a running `2.34-174`, when I create a new note, the note editor appears but the keyboard is not on screen. I need to tap the note to bring up the keyboard.

Not a big deal, but it would be nicer to have the keyboard on screen already, or as soon as the screen transition completes.
