Does not launch properly on Chrome OS

When launched, the app's window immediately disappear with app icon still visible on the task bar, clicking the app icon on the task bar does nothing, and attempt to close it via right mouse menu on the app icon also does nothing.

Download the app from Google Play, then launch it.

Chrome OS version: 91.0.4472.167, rammus. Installed via Brunch Framework, Brunch version r91-stable-20210620.
Android Version: 9
Simplenote Version: 2.20 and 2.21-rc-1.
