Possible Bug: Links not being highlighted in certain conditions

I'm not actually sure if this is a genuine bug or some issue just with the screenshot automation.

When I started working on the screenshots update back in February, the screenshots would come up with highlighted links. Now, they don't.

Logging this to avoid forgetting it.

No source file, test, or entry point is named. Start by reproducing the screenshot update and comparing the conditions before and after the links stopped being highlighted, including the logout/login workaround documented in PR 1354's commit. Done means identifying the cause and confirming screenshots show highlighted links without requiring a session reset.
