Siri: Latency in playback skip forward

Expected behavior

Playback skip forward happened within a second after saying, “Hey, Siri. Fast forward two minutes.“.

Actual behavior

As reported in 5460900-zen, it took the app two seconds or more to skip forward.

I have noticed that if the app is started fresh, latency is minimal (acceptable). I run the app all day long, so there may be a leak somewhere. Note also that I submit Siri commands via AirPods and Powerbeats Pro, not voiced directly.

Note that I noticed the delay when issuing Siri commands via AirPods Pro and to the phone's microphone directly. I didn't notice this delay in the Music app.

Steps to reproduce the behavior

1. Play an episode in the Pocket Casts iOS app
2. Speak "Hey, Siri" and then followed by "Fast forward to two minutes"
3. Observe the mini player pops up and takes two seconds or more before playing the episode after the skip

Tested on iPhone 11, iOS 15.6, Pocket Casts 7.20.2

Start with the listed reproduction steps and video on an iPhone running the stated iOS and Pocket Casts versions, comparing a freshly started app with one left running all day. Done means Siri-initiated skip-forward playback consistently begins within about one second, including commands sent through AirPods or the phone microphone.
