Internal discussion: p1676519952301769-slack-C02A333D8LQ
Reported in: 5924448-zd-woothemes
iOS issue: https://github.com/Automattic/pocket-casts-ios/issues/724
The issue was originally reported for the iOS app but likely will affect the Android app since it shares similar logic.
When a podcast has an episode that has a published date set to a future date, the app will not update new episodes unless the user unsubscribes and subscribe to the podcast again.
### Step-by-step reproduction instructions
1. Subscribe to the private feed mentioned in the Slack thread
2. Note down the latest episode in the app
3. Check the episode listing in the app after a new episode has been published
4. Notice that the app didn't pick up the new episode

Research direction
Start by reproducing the issue with the private feed described in the report and review the linked iOS issue for related behavior. Trace the Android episode-fetching logic involved in updating a subscribed podcast, then verify that newly published episodes are fetched even when the feed contains a future-dated episode.
