Description

### Description

We received a report of a user who is having a problem logging in to their Wear OS app.

They have tried to uninstall and reinstall both the phone and watch app, beta and stable versions.

The app loads but shows as logged out, and the login does not work.

They use email to log in, which is unavailable in the WearOS app. The watch-based login also does not work for them.

The last recommendation we gave them also didn't help:

- Sign out of Pocket Casts on your mobile phone
- Enable AirPlane Mode on your phone, which should disconnect your watch from your phone
- Switch off AirPlane Mode
- Open the Pocket Casts app on your phone
- Then open the Pocket Casts app on your watch
- Sign in on your phone
- Check if that fixes the issue

Research direction

Start with the reproduction steps in this issue and review the linked internal Slack discussion and support ticket. Compare the phone and Wear OS login flows using the reported Pixel 8 Pro and app version, then determine what additional evidence is needed since the issue is not reproducible. Done means the login failure is reproduced and a verified fix or a clear cause is documented.
