Description

### Description

I'm currently in an AirBnB with bad wifi and the app is almost unusable because it fails to sometimes load episodes, or even the list of subscriptions. Just now it couldn't load the settings. The issue goes away instantly if I turn off wifi (see video).

### Step-by-step reproduction instructions

1. Connect to an unreliable connection
2. Use the app

Research direction

No files, tests, or code entry points are named. Start by reproducing the failure on an unreliable connection using the listed Android and Pocket Casts versions, then trace the loading paths for episodes, subscriptions, and settings; done means those screens remain usable when connectivity is poor.
