WP 4.0: "edit" inserted object = Insert from URL

When I click on [edit on an inserted object](http://screencast.com/t/CqMP12k8ss), Insert from URL is lauched. Any idea how I can override this and open the url in the correct mexp? I need ths for my [mexp 23](https://github.com/soderlind/mexp-23)
